For my crimp machined DTP pins and females, I got a set off eBay I think that included a pair of the GOOD Deutsch crimpers for less than I could source just the crimper or terminals elsewhere. ![]() I just bought a tackle box looking case for each of my DT and DTP kits. I believe for my other sets I purchased the Amphenol ones from Waytek from the start and just built my own kits. Those Molex ones don't readily show up on their web site catalog, the Amphenol ones still do.Īs for sets, I purchased my DTM set from Batts Racing ( ) because it was a good set for he money at the time. Maybe they are switching vendors to Molex for more offerings? It 'says' they're compatible, but does NOT specifically say they are Deutsch compatible as the Amphenol ones they sell DO. They only used to offer DT and DTP now they have DTM and one other type as well. I have been getting the Amphenol ones from Waytek for years, they are fully interchangeable with Deutsch. Y'all got a kit of these non-nosebleed-priced' interchangeable connectors? I don't use a great deal of Deutsch but use a LOT of weatherpak, and feel that our use/repair of Deutsch would increase with a reasonably-priced repair kit. After you look up a few of the Amphenol part number it becomes very easy to convert between the two different part numbers. I believe that the only part of the part number that is different is the prefix for the family of connectors but I don't remember for sure. One thing I will say about the Amphenol Deutsch style connectors is that they used a very similar part number systems to the Deutsch connectors. Should be another good alternative to buying the Deutsch connectors. I haven't used any of the connectors in your link but have brought some other styles of connectors manufactured by Molex and I don't remember there being any issue with them. I have been using the ones made by Amphenol and haven't had much trouble with them. There are a few different manufacturers making the Deutsch style of connectors now. I got an email today from Waytek ( ) introducing a low cost alternative to genuine Deutsch connectors. Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
